Class Notes:

ALL RULES INTERPRETATIONS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE OFFICIALS, AND THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.

 

1. Classes are subject to change. Please check this web site and www.ottpa.net and www.swotpa.com periodically. OTTPA General Rules apply to ALL LOCAL classes. See www.ottpa.net.

3. “Pro Street Semi Trucks” is a new OTTPA class. Pro Street Semi Truck Rules Representative of this class will perform a demonstration pull this year (no points)

 

 

Local Semi Trucks: Local Semi Trucks can pull in the LOCAL class (per Note 5 below)

 

Option to pull in Pro Street Semi Class: If interested, Local Street Semi Trucks will be allowed to pull in the Pro Street Semi Class if they can meet the rules (See OTTPA Pro Street Semi Trucks Rules) They will pull as a Local OTTPA "Day Hook". They must register and pay the OTTPA "One Event Membership Fee" (See Rules Book on OTTPA website), as well as admission fee to fairgrounds. Admission will not be refunded to Day Hook Competitiors, because this is a demonstration only this year, they will receive neither points, nor prize money.  Please note: if you think you want to compete in the class at other OTTPA events, you cam pull once as a "Day Hook", then you must move up and become a full member to pull again in this class for the rest of the year.

 

Pullers shall supply their own hitch.  Hitch SHALL comply with the OTTPA Pro Street Semi Truck rules as pertain to all details of the hitch.  (If you choose to pull in the LOCAL Semi Class instead, hitches will be provided - see note 5)

4. 16,000 lb Field Stock Tractors: MUST BE as the name suggests: STOCK!! – ready to go to the field and work. Tractors shall conform to the rules posted on this web site, and are subject to technical inspection.

16,000 lb Field Stock Tractor Rules: (see Note 10 below)
-16,000 lb Field Stock Tractors shall conform to the OTTPA General Rules. (see www.ottpa.net).
-Tractors shall conform to the LOCAL TRACTOR rules posted on OTTPA website (see www.ottpa.net)
-Tractors are subject to technical inspection
-Drivers shall wear approved helmets while pulling.
-Tractor shall have stock block, crankcase, head and chassis
-Tractors shall have stock model fuel injection pump for the make & model
-Any turbocharger shall be stock for that engine and model tractor
 .
 
5. Local Street Semi Trucks: Limit 10 entrants, must live within 100 km of Glencoe Fairgrounds. This class will be run if there are participants interested, who are not able to meet all the rules for the new OTTPA Pro Street Semi Class. There must be at least 3 participants for this class to run. As noted, local competitors are encouraged to pull in the Pro Street Semi Truck Class, but if they are unable to meet all of the rules, they may be allowed to pull in a “Local Street Semi Truck” class, for “bragging rights” only. Pullers will as a minimum be required to comply with the OTTPA General Rules (see www.ottpa.net). Pullers shall wear helmets while pulling.
 
Hitches which adapt to the 5th wheel will be loaned at the fairgrounds, to Local Semi Truck competitors for the duration of their pull.  Hitch must be removed at the end of your pull to use on othe trucks.
 
6. No prize money is currently offered for these classes, just “bragging rights”, however, 1st place finisher in each class will receive recognition, and/or have their name added to any exisiting class specific trophies, and will be refunded their admission fee, by the Glencoe Agricultural Society. If sponsorship is received for these classes, prize may increase.

10: "D" hitching device: Dimensions of the hole, square or oval, shall be a minimum of 3 inches wide and 3.75 inch long.  From the rear point of the hole to the rear point of the hitching device shall be a maximum of 1.5 inches.
